I woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather--nothing serious, a small fever and a sore throat. Anyway, the title of this post is the medicine Chris brought me. Lemsip is a blackcurrant flavored hot drink with cold medicine in it, and paracetemol is basically Tylenol. Anyway, I thought that was interesting (and really nice of Chris to go get them for me).
Last night, we went to this great restaurant and had a nice 3-course dinner. I had some sort of duck and truffle terrine starter and an amazing boullibasse (which is rich tomato stock with all sorts of seafood--mussels, salmon, sea bass and shrimp--in it), and then some sort of chocolate, blueberry delice for dessert--delicious! Chris had some sort of spinach and ricotta cake, pigeon, and sorbets. We shared everything, so I got to taste pigeon for the first time. It was actually really, really delicious. I saw some pigeons on the street giving me the stink-eye on my way out of the restaurant, so I think they knew what was up. Other than that, it was great!
Anyway, I think I'm going to quit writing until I start school--I'm getting bored typing about these sort of trivial things, so I can't imagine how mind-numbing it might be to read them.
Have a nice few days and I'll keep you posted on my first day at Strathclyde, which is Tuesday.
Take care, miss you all.
