Two Months-ish

I stumbled across this picture and loved it. It was taken moments after he found out he would be the next president.

Anyway, so, it has come to my attention that it has been about two months since I arrived here in Glasgow, which means it has been two months since I've seen any of you from back home.
It has also come to my attention that some of you are worried when I don't email for lengths of time. Well, don't worry. It's just because I'm settled in and have nothing exciting to say. Just assume that I have been going to class, coming home, making dinner, hanging out with Chris, maybe going out for drinks with various people and/or out on weekends, and generally doing fairly mundane, everyday activities. If anything interesting happens, I'll put it in my blog.

The most exciting thing in recent days has been, of course, the election. I am extremely happy about the way things turned out. My friend from school and I stayed up all night watching the returns and generally celebrating every time a state was called for Obama. We had a glass of milk at about 5:30 AM when Obama made his acceptance speech, and then I headed home to get a few hours of sleep before class. I'm glad I stayed up for it! Even if you weren't necessarily happy about the results of the election, you have to admit that speech was epic. Come on...even you, mom!

This is the beginning of my study week. I am not back in class until the 17th! Nice...So, because I may be tempted to waste all my time, I am going to set some goals for the next 9 days and then I will feel obligated to work towards them. They are:

1.) To find a counselling placement.
2.) To write my paper.
3.) To leave Glasgow at some point for at least 2 days.

There. Goals set. Motivation high. Stomach rumbling--time for dinner.
Take care! Miss you all.
