Glasgow to Falkirk

Here is what I know about the Falkirk Wheel (which you can see a video of here):

1. It is an innovative piece of technology that links up two canals.
2. It is as tall as 8 double-decker buses.
3. It uses the same amount of energy as it takes to boil 2 kettles.
4. They used 14,868 nuts and bolts to construct it.
5. It is about 30 miles away from Glasgow's city center (not 10 or 15, like we thought at the beginning of the day).

A few friends and I biked to Falkirk the other day. It was a pretty long day...but it was worth it. One of us was riding on a 60s Windsor fold-up bike, like this one:


So...it was kind of a trek. We took turns. Anyway, that's about it over here. What have you been up to?
