Well hey everyone! I thought I'd just give everyone a little, non-whiny (this time) catch-up about things.
My cold is gone, for the most part. I survived without NyQuil! And they said it couldn't be done. OK, no one actually said that. I just thought it for awhile.
I finished up my second week in my counselling placement at Central College. I have seen 3 people now, and it's going as well as I could hope and/or expect! It's nice to be able to have some hands-on practice with this. In the same breath I will tell you that it's scary sometimes, but I really am optimistic about what's been happening.
It's gotten pretty cold here, although it's probably not nearly as cold as it is in Minnesota (or Wisconsin). It has also gotten very clear here, and it hasn't rained for a really long time. However, a friend told me that it might snow tonight, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for that!
One of my friends from school often DJs at the pub he works in, and, after hearing of my college radio experience (Tim--if you're reading this, are you laughing yet?), offered me the chance to try it myself! I even get to wear a pair of those enormous headphones! Amazing...
So, yours truly will be the DJ at the Bier Stube this Saturday night, if any of you care to come out that night. What? Most of you live 4,300 miles away and can't make it? Oh, well...alright. I'll just let you know how it goes.
Chris and I made bouillabaisse last night, and it was AWESOME. We have been making a lot of soup lately. He's great, by the way. I sometimes forget to talk about him because he's consistently awesome and around all the time. We're going out to dinner with his parents on Friday night, which will be awesome. My parents are planning on coming out in January, so Chris and I are going to ask his parents if they'd like to come through to Glasgow to meet them! When I nervously told Chris my parents had expressed an interest in meeting his, he just calmly said, "Yeah, I think that's a good idea." Since then, we've sort of been joking around about how it could go, but in reality it's probably going to be great. So, that's the news on Chris. Lots of good soup and the future introduction of the parents.
Alison, if you're reading this, I got your card and will be putting something in the mail for you tomorrow morning! Thanks!!
Anyway, that's about it for me. I hope you all are having a good week and staying warm!
Love and miss you all.

Don't worry, we'll (maybe I should say I will) be good and reasonably normal when we meet Chris' parents!Have you asked Tim for advice on your DJ debut?!
