So, I just thought I'd check in, seeing as how I'm getting the sense that a lot of people check in on this blog regularly. Hi to all my family and the friends who take the time to read this!
It's another rainy day here in Glasgow. I walked home from class today and was nearly blown away, and my shoes are soaked through! It's insanely windy, which is, apparently, a sign that autumn is here, or that winter is on its way, or something equally ominous. Anyway, it's crazily windy and my hair looks like crap. I don't think I've had a single 'good hair day' since I've been here. That is due to the fact that it's rainy off and on throughout the day, so my hair gets wet, then dry and curly, then damp, then curly again, then limp and damp, then messy and windswept, dry once more, and then I go to sleep. Sometimes when I wake up, I think it looks awesome, but then I have to wash it and start the whole, disgusting process again. There is no product in the world strong enough to do anything about it, either, so I give up. I just give up.
Also, I am really hungry. Chris said he was going to make soup today, but I don't see it. He did, however, leave a Cuban cigar out for me. Those are legal here, BTW. However, I don't think a cigar, even a Cuban, is a good snack for me. Hmm. Have you guys tried Nutella? If you haven't, I strongly urge you to stop reading this, go to your local grocery store (or one that's far away, now that gas is cheaper, ha) and get some. It's delicious. I think I'm going to have some on toast as soon as I get done writing this.
Anyway, everything seems to be going pretty well, school-wise. I have done a few more rounds of 'skills practice' and I've been feeling a lot better than I had been before. Well, really, anything would have felt better than before. But anyway, yes, things in that realm are going pretty well. I've also made it a point to really read about what I'm studying, probably more than I have ever read about anything related to any class ever, and that helps. So for all of you impressionable youth who may be reading this, remember: A Lot More Effort+The Desire to Do Well=Better Results.
Anyway, I think I've taken up enough of your time. Take it easy and I'll speak to you soon!
xoxo
